Product & company overview
A human layer for the world’s map.
Pulse Map is developing a privacy-first emotional map for people and future place-based insights for businesses and communities.
What we’re building
Ordinary maps describe where things are. Pulse Map is being built to help people understand how places feel. The consumer MVP pairs optional emotional expression with a privacy-protected view of collective local patterns.
The planned experience uses one emotion and an optional short explanation. Observation does not require contributing. There are no public profiles, usernames, or follower lists, and a contribution is not a public identity.
Who it is for
For people, the goal is more context about the places around them and a way to express how a place feels. For businesses and communities, the longer-term opportunity is a better understanding of collective place and time patterns through separately governed, privacy-protected insights.
Privacy shapes the product
- Public signals use approximate locality, not a contributor’s exact position.
- What can appear depends on privacy and safety conditions.
- Individual emotional data is not a product for sale.
- Advertising must not target people using emotion or emotional trends.
- Future business tools must remain separate from staff safety tools and individual contributions.
These principles guide development. They do not promise perfect anonymity, continuous monitoring, or emergency intervention. Pulse Map is not a clinical or emergency-response service.
